I'm here in Auburn rehearsing for the Ritz Gathering and spending some quality time with family.  It's good to be back in Alabama.  Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I'm headed to Greenville on Thursday night. Can't wait to see everyone! 

I am getting so excited about our reunion.  Everything is fallling into place.  My flight leaves from Baltimore in 2 days.  I'll spend the first part of the week rehearsing for Ritz Gala event... and then later in the week, I get to spend some quality time with family.  On Friday, I hit Greenville for more rehearsals during the day and then the celebration begins!  I hope everyone sincerely enjoys our Thanksgiving weekend.  It will be so good to see all my old high school buddies.  Wow... where has the time gone?!  

Some of you may see some advertisements around town for The Gathering.  This is our Ritz Event scheduled for November 28th at 730 p.m.  We wanted to open up the event to anyone in the community who would like to attend.  And we have even set up a designated website for this purpose... so tell all you friends and family, they can either buy tickets through our reunion site as a guest of yours, or through our Greenville Gathering site at http://greenvillegathering.com/. 

I hope you are all getting excited about our reunion.  It is going to be a great weekend!

I had a wonderful time down South.  I had a chance to tour the old high school and rehearse at the Ritz... and enjoyed some quality time catching up with dear old friends.  Thanks to everyone who made me feel right at home. 

Things are heating up with plans for our reunion. We are working with the paper and the radio stations to get the word out.  Don't miss today's article in the Advocate.  And thanks Kevin Pearcey for putting the article together!

I hope everyone is excited   And please let me know if you have time to volunteer.  I'm looking for the names and numbers of local babysitters in the area to help out for Saturday night (Nov. 28th).  If you know of anyone, please send me their info.

I'm here in Maryland designing web and print ads, rehearsing for the Ritz event, selling tickets and a million other things.  If you have time to help out, PLEASE let me know. 

Onward!

So today is my last day before heading off to Greenville.  I collected props for the show from my stifling hot attic: lawn chairs, gnomes, whirlygigs, all kinds of tacky yard art... these make up the setting of Fin and Euba, one of the plays being featured at the Ritz Event (Nov. 28, 2009, 8pm).   I also collected a few set pieces from my local theater here and I’ve packed it all in the trunk of my black Jeep Cherokee.  I’m hoping there will be a place at the Ritz to store all of this until November.

On my way south, I’m going to stop and meet with our lighting and sound technician to make sure we are all on the same page.  I’ve only spoken with him over the phone, but he’s been so supportive already, as have all of the contacts I’ve made so far. 

900 miles to Greenville… of course, I’ll be making a few stops along the way to see family.  But I hope to land at the Ritz Theater on Thursday 3rd for a much-needed rehearsal and production meeting.  I’ve staged Fin and Euba many many times over the years…Maryland, Virgina, New York…but the idea of staging it at my home town theater is the most exciting thing I can imagine!  I’m looking forward to measuring out the space and taking lots of pictures.  I really hope you guys like the play.
